Isabelle Guzman of the Taino

Bio

I am first generation BIPOC (she/them) who has lived in Bvlbancha for over 12 years. I work as an archivist for the Preservation Hall Foundation, and in my free time a freelance writer, photographer, artist, and dancer. I've been involved in disaster relief & mutual aid work since 2016, including work with Bvlbancha Collective after Hurricane Ida which led me to Pointe Aux Chenes to meet Houma elders and form a relationship beyond crisis response.
