Unrecognized Stories Zine

This 22-page stapled black and white zine comes in tan, yellow, and blue card stock covers, and serves as the tangible artifact of two years of relationship-building arts programming. It features quotes from Unrecognized Stories interviews, stills from Stories for the Making, a recap of the 2021 Indigenous Gulf Stream, and process ephemera from production.

Zine layout and design from Ozone 504 with graphics from Ozone 504 and Joey Verret. The zine was produced and edited by Hali Dardar and Ida Aronson, and printed at the Paper Machine

We are collaborating with Indigenous businesses to sell zines in their stores. For each zine sold, profit is split between the business and the Bvlbancha Public Access' Indigenous Gulf Stream 2023 artist commission fund.

This project completes the loop, and connects Indigenous businesses to artists and thought leaders while providing appropriate, tangible information on contemporary Indigenous life in the Gulf South the the general public.

In an effort to celebrate physical Indigenous places, we are not selling these online. You have to physically go to an Indigenous merchant to get a zine.

If you cant make it to a zine shop, you can check out our wall hangings, pillows, and other Spoonflower stuff. For each item, 30% goes back to Bvlbancha Public Access to fund artist commissions for the next Indigenous Gulf Stream
