Coyle Parker of the Cherokee

Bio

From my pursuance of an art degree at Portland State University up to my present position as a tattooer and practicing artist, I have always envisaged to portray the fraught marriage between identity and dissociation. My influences, ranging from the postmodern, neo-dada works of Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg to the fictive creations of H.R. Giger, manifest a body of work that juxtaposes the real and the imagined. The result is a combination of reality and falsity meant to read as uncomfortable, ethereal and cataclysmic all at once.
