Dane is an Black-Native writer, scholar, and culture-worker who is an unenrolled United Houma Nation descendant reconnecting with his relatives. He was born and raised in Black community in Bulbancha/New Orleans, and currently resides in Bde Óta Othúŋwe/Minneapolis. Professionally he works as a group process facilitator, trainer, and organization development consultant. Communally, his work focuses on fostering kinship between Black and Indigenous people. To achieve that he works with the arts, culture, and land-based pedagogies to create spaces for solidarity to grow. When he's not working he's creating table-top roleplaying games and writing systems or gardening and cooking.
