Carolyn M. Dunn, MFA, PhD, is a playwright, dramaturg, actor and director whose plays, including The Frybread Queen and Soledad, have been Equity produced on stages in Los Angeles and New York. The author of three books of poetry, she is the co-editor of Decentered Playwriting: Alternative Techniques for the Stage, as well as several anthologies in American Indian literature. Her academic work engages across disciplines including theatre, literature, ethnohistory, ethnomusicology, landscape, language, and cultural studies. She is an Associate Professor of Theatre and Dance and is the Director of Playwriting and Dramaturgy at California State University, Los Angeles.
